Our Patron

Steve Biddulph AM

Melbourne Men’s Group is very proud and honored to have the wonderful Steve Biddulph AM as our patron.

Steve Biddulph AM is one of the world’s best known parent educators. A psychologist for 30 years, he is now retired but continues to write and teach. His books, including The Secret of Happy Children, Raising Boys, The New Manhood and 10 Things Girls Need Most are in SIX MILLION homes and 31 languages.

They have influenced the way we look at childhood and especially the development of boys and men. Today though, the mental health of girls and young women globally is also a major focus.

‘I would be honoured to be Patron of Melbourne Men’s Group.  Please thank the guys for the honour, and even more, for the great work they are doing to reach more and more men with a whole and healthy view of masculinity.  We are in this world to nurture – ourselves, and all the life around us’. Steve Biddulph

For more than 20 years Steve’s groundbreaking book Manhood and the revised edition, The New Manhood, have had a remarkable impact around the world. Manhood is a powerful book about how the ‘river of healthy masculinity’ was broken through the distance between fathers and sons, addresses how to heal and become a whole man and talks to issues including growing up, sex, love, marriage, friends, work, meaning and spirit.

From reading Manhood, thousands of men all over the world have reconciled with their fathers, become closer to their children, improved their marriages or made positive sweeping changes to their lives.
